NEU “Double Hundred” Foreign Teachers Recruitment
The project of “Double Hundred” is conceived according to the Program of NEU Reform and Development of 12th Five-Year Plan. That is setting up 100 courses instructed in English while recruiting 100 foreign teachers of non-Chinese origin. “Double Hundred” foreign teachers are teachers working in all the subjects of the university. The employment period is 1-3 years.
Employment Level and Criteria
Foreign teachers will work as professors, associate professors and lecturers.
Abide by the relevant law and regulation of People’s Republic of China;
With a high degree of professionalism, team work, collective and devoted spirit.
Honor the academic standards and specifications.
Have a doctoral degree.
Healthy enough to fulfill the requirements of the job.
Age: Doctoral graduates and post doctoral researchers should be no older than 35; associate professors should be no older than 55; professors should be no older than 65.
Other requirements: All the degrees of the candidates should be issued by elite overseas universities. Candidates should be able to teach in English.
Salary and Benefits
Foreign teachers must work full-time for NEU. The salary is protocol wage.
The annual salary for a professor is 300000-700000 RMB; the annual salary for an associate professor is 200000-400000 RMB; the annual salary for a lecturer is 100000-200000 RMB. The salary standard will be decided after consultation between two parties of the employment contract, with consideration for the candidates’ longevity, academic level and teaching and research tasks.
The salary of foreign teachers will be paid monthly following the annual salary system.
Foreign teachers’ income tax will be held by NEU according to the Individual Income Tax Law of the People"s Republic of China.
NEU will provide foreign teachers with health and injury insurance according to relevant policies of national and local authorities.
